Re: Reconditioned gauge Clusters F/S

I bought a '72-Vintage cluster from Tom and waited several months to even open the box. Once I opened up the package I discovered a minor problem. Tom didn't begin to question anything. He made it right. I'd go way out of my way to work with him again. First-Rate!!!

Tom,
Here is a testament to the quality of the clusters you do for us on the board.
I redid the one on top of this picture but just visually you can see (aside from the tach) that your is nicer than the one I thought I did a good job on. I'll post another picture of the rears next.

Re: Reconditioned gauge Clusters F/S

Mike,

Thank you for the kind words and support. I try do build these with every small detail in mind. It is a shame that we have to install them in a dash as the back sides are often better looking than the front.

I have been thinking about building some theme clusters. Something like what OCC does with choppers That would be interesting to build and see.

Give yourself some credit also. You cluster looks very nice and I would be proud of it.

Thank you again,
Tom

Re: Reconditioned gauge Clusters F/S

Hi Tom,

Looking to get a quote to restore/modify my existing cluster.

71 Chevy with HEI. Existing cluster is Non-Tach/Non-Vacuum. Would like to add Tach & set ODO to zero.

I kind of like the white face gauges so please give me a price on that too or any other options you offer.

Thanks!

Re: Reconditioned gauge Clusters F/S

Weekend bump

Classic Gauge and Cluster can also do volt gauge and electric oil pressure gauge conversions on 67-72 gauge clusters. If interested, send me a PM for details.

I hope all of you have a great Christmas and a Happy New year. i am looking forward to 2015 and building many more quality gauge clusters.

Take care and thank you,
Tom

Thanks for restoring my tach dash! Works and looks perfect! My new reproduction woodgrain bezel from industrial graphics turned out great.

Thanks for posting Mike. What I can see of the interior looks great. The bezel work came out real nice and I am glad you found someone to finally get it right. I appreciate the kind words and appreciate your business. You do some very nice work yourself and your attention to detail shows.

Have a great holiday,
Tom

How does it compare to the woodgrain on the door panels? Was this a one off thing they did for you? Do they also make a piece that can be used for the glovebox door?

Hi Jonathan,

I would get with Mike and see what he can do for you. These are beautiful pieces and I am happy Mike took the bull by the horns and did this. The quality of the work is absolutely worth the investment. I wish I had the time to do what he has done.

Hope this helps.

I am not going to be doing any more electronic speedometer conversions. They just take up way too much of my time for the return. Not sure about the CableX way but it will keep the cluster stock, if that is what you are looking to do. I cannot beat the price to convert a speedometer into a cluster over the cost of a CableX set up. The other option that we all are familiar with is Dakota Digital.

Sorry but I have no good magic answer for you.

Take care,
Tom

Re: Reconditioned gauge Clusters F/S

Well, I have been very busy the last couple of months and as most of you may have figured, I joined up with tll74 (Tom) here in Junction City to help him out when the gauge cluster business slows down.

Please check out our new account DLTruck1973 to take care of any parts needs you many have. Tom has a rather large inventory of parts.

With that said, I am still doing gauge cluster restorations but leaning toward staying away from the custom work. I am still offering my volt gauge conversions but I just have no time to do electronic speedometer conversions any longer. I still have one I promised a good member on here and I will finish it for him someday .

Keep me in mind for future work and I will take care of your needs.

Have a good weekend,
Tom

Re: Reconditioned gauge Clusters F/S

Hi Tom, I'm interested in having my gauge cluster freshened up, converted to a tach cluster, and the volt gauge conversion. It's in my '70 GMC so it's got the tan bezel, can you paint a new bezel to match? Thanks, Zach
