Lookin' good! Check out the Yokohama Parada Spec-X. Nice tires and cheap! That's what's on the Blazer- they mounted/balanced like butta and have a rim protector- cost about $115 each from tirerack.com. You can pick 'em up at the Shreveport warehouse and save shipping costs.

The ~'81-up LD (light duty) rotors do not need machined. Same diameter rotor just 1" thick vs. 1.25". Downside is you have to swap spindles to run 'em, but Belltech makes a 2.5" drop for them.

Re: "One really slow build" thread

Hope you're new wheels and tires aren't much wider. Looks awlfully close to the hood hinges at dump. Never thought would be a problem when you started on it.
Interesting to read thru the old part of this thread and to see how far you've come.
Looking good.
Dad

Re: "One really slow build" thread

At least the extra backspace will pull the tires farther in away from the fenders. That should easily make up for the extra width.

Re: "One really slow build" thread

Yes, you are really good at checking out all the details. And yes (as Backyard say) the change in backspacing will more than make up for the little difference in width. Now just to come up with the tires and you'll be rolling in style.
Any progress on the compressor and tank install?
I don't think I'll have any time to help (not that you need any) to help between this job and the next.
Dad

Re: "One really slow build" thread

Nope

It rained all day yesterday, so I didn't even make it out to the shop
Gonna clean the shop up some more, so I can put my truck inside

I did it again dad, I want it to lay out... I just can't help myself can I
And with pics like these floating around, it was bound to happen again (plus researching notches doesn't help either)

Re: "One really slow build" thread

What was I thinking, you're almost as addicted as I am
Now your gonna wanna build a low square body too

Expect a phone call about this !

But on a serious note, I think I'm plenty happy with a long bed
So I just need to finish researching & figure out how low I wanna go (Can you read my mind... I wanna lay rocker)
