Fel-Pro's do cost a little more,
But past experience has taught me,
There worth it!!

Besides, My motor is an "84".
Mr Gaskets oil pan gasket is a 4 piece,
The Fel-Pro was a 1 piece,
Less chance of leaking.

Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"

My 2006 Sebring convertable, Is a jealous b!tch!

Here I am, Buying goodies for my truck.
And my Sebring has had more issues in the past month,
Than it has had since I bought it.
I think it's a jealousy thing
This time, It was a cross over housing.
A 4"x4"x4" piece of plastic. That connects the
front head, To the back head, To the fill resivore, And
finally to the heater core.

It was $87 at wholesale. I don't know how much regularly?
Might be the same, For all I know. Plus $13 for extended life
antifreeze.

And of coarse, One of the bolts was under the intake housing.
Had to bend a wrench, To get to it.

Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"

Thanks everyone!!!

Today, I'm going to bolt up the tranny, And do a dry fit.
I think that this cross member may have to be removed,(pic below)
In order to run a SBC with a THM350c tranny.

When you lower a truck, You change the geometry
of the trailing arms. By moving the pivot point from
bottom to top, You get about 3 1/2" of that back.
This will help the handling and ride.

Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"

So 4" rear drop, it'd be a good idea to flip flop my trailing arm crossmember?

Re: 68 C 10 stepside "My American Bulldog"

Got my engine an tranny dry fitted
Figured out where to mount my tranny support,
And that I need to remove the mount from the manual tranny.
But seeing it sitting in the frame, Was great.

I just turned the clips over. And you don't have to do it,
It's just to help handling a little.
