Yeah still here. I was sick a lot around the holidays and it took a little time to get my motivation back. Thanks for the good luck and reassuring words. Hoping everything goes as smooth as possible. we go in on Wednesday to get this show on the road. Will definitely put up some pictures of her. The sonogram pictures didn't show a whole lot this time. Can't wait to see her in person.

Found a different used steering wheel to go in the truck one out of a Chevy Cavalier. Wanted something a little more sporty. But also with a factory look. not bolted in yet just wanted to see how it looks and I like it...

My wife will have her tablet computer so I'll put up pictures as soon as I get a chance.

Baby Stella got here today at 2:23 7 pounds 6 ounces, 20.5 inches and gave us a bit of a scare with some breathing issues but seems to be working through them. My wife's did a great job and is a hell of a lot tougher than me. My ladies they both had a very rough day and made me very proud!

Me too! Mom and baby had a very good day today I even got to hold her for about an hour and a half. Before yesterday being a dad seemed good in concept. But there is nothing better than this.

I highly recommended getting you one of these

Re: What I can afford, when I can afford it... 70 Chevy LWB

Got the parts back from the powder coater last week, they came out really good. Nice and shiny hopefully good enough to last another 40 years.

Got the rest of the parts for the engine compartment painted today because it was warm enough. Came out pretty good, new inner fender wells from LMC were actually thicker steel than the factory one's that were rusted out believe it or not.

Transmission painted also and ready to reattach to the motor, and I'm hoping that will happen this coming weekend, and we'll get it dropped back into the frame.

yeah shiny parts we likey!

I do appreciate you painting my inner fenders for me.. You can ship them to

I've got a set here in need of a little metal work and painting.. But I like yours better. Seeing how they're done. Curious to know how good they fit.

Keep the progress and pics coming!

I'm going to be putting the motor and transmission back in this weekend and once I do that I'll be getting the inner fenders and core support installed and I'll let you know how they fit. I ended up with a few runs in the inner fenders got confused on which reducer to use fast or slow. I used slow, and with the cooler temps I had a few drips on the floor. Oops... Oh well, just going to say that adds character.

Got the transmission seals and Vehicle speed sensor replaced so the transmission is ready to go back in. I've had a torque converter sitting around for months I'm excited to see it installed.

Congrats on the new baby. I think I now understand why the truck has been sitting outside under the tarp. I'm not a noisy neighbor, just observant.
Looks like things are coming along well for you.
If you ever need a extra hand let me know. I'm at 1014.

I'll take you up on that, my brother has been helping when he has the time, but occasionally it's just nice to have an extra set of hands, makes all the difference in the world. Thanks for the offer!

And really I've calmed down on my time table to get this done, with the new bambino it'll get done when it gets done and as long as I keep plugging away. Going to get it back inside this weekend and make a little more progress, Then maybe a short hiatus to work on my father in law's new toy. It's called a PUG, Kinda like a John Deer Gator utv he got it used, not running and needing some TLC to get going. I'm going to see if he wants me to get it up and running for him, and give me a little time to recharge my credit card if, you know what I mean.

Had a good day yesterday, other than the headers on the motor won't fit, so back to manifolds I go. Oh well. time for some pics.

Had to have a victory cigar with when it was done. Still have to get the drive shaft shortened and drill some new holes for the trans cross member but it is back in.

Re: What I can afford, when I can afford it... 70 Chevy LWB

Was able to get some bolt on stuff taken care of over the last week or so, that and letting some parts pile up that I've ordered. I have everything I need to begin the wiring other than some loom and a oil pressure safety switch to control the electric fuel pump.

Got the manifolds ready to paint. Should be able to get the garage warm enough this weekend to get those painted and bolted on. I haven't been very motivated to do much work in the evenings after I get home, that and getting my dad time in but I should have a little tinker time this weekend especially with an extra day off on Monday should be able to make some progress.

I was cool with the headers because they were already on the motor and it was one less thing to mess with but I like a stock look and I know I'll be very happy with them, I don't plan on racing it or anything so headers aren't a priority. I'm just ready to get the manifolds painted and bolted up.

With the motor back in it feels so much closer to being done even if it's still a long ways off. Can't wait to hear it running again.

Just pretend vroom vroom's at this point but hopefully real one's very soon. Electrical and fuel system and I'll be ready to scare the neighbors.
