Re: Header Solution

The upper frame rails are about 1.5" wider than later year trucks. Also the brake lines run inside the frame instead of on the outside. We should be fitting them on a 70 BB truck this week to make sure they will work with pre 72 motor stands. Stainless may be ready by mid summer.

Re: Header Solution

Gonna bump this back up. Have the BBC's been test fit on a 4x4? How's the clearance on the front shackles, front driveshaft, and transfer case?

Re: Header Solution

Do you have any pictures of the small block header in stainless and powdercoating that are mounted? I have 383 with a vortech supercharger (631 TQ/622 HP http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=370973), do you think these will help or harm performance? I currently have long tubes with 1 5/8.

Re: Header Solution

I will try and see if I have pics of stainless in installed. I do have pics of coated installed and i will post asap. As for performance if you are running 1 5/8 primaries headers with a supercharger you should gain sum hp on the top end with 1 3/4.

Re: Header Solution

Hello everyone. I would like to introduce myself. My name is Dan Ferraro. I am the owner of Clear Image Automotive. I have been in business for over 10 years now. We specialize in GM vehicles and have been designing and building headers and exhaust components for specific vehicles. Our origin started with the 94 – 96 Impala SS. From there we branched off to the Chevy Cobalt, Saturn Ion, Pontiac Solstice, Camaro/Firebird, as well as the Corvette. Recently we have released products for the Chevy Colorado and GMC Canyon as well as the early Chevy trucks. We also build private label products for other companies in various other markets.
I have not posted to this forum before as I have left marketing of our products to one of your own. Our headers have been sold by Steve Kinney of Carb’s Unlimited & Performance. He posts here as “Jokers69” and is obviously the originator of this specific thread. I’m sure some of you are familiar with him as you have already received and installed our headers. Steve and I have discussed the advertisement possibilities on this forum and he has become a gold vendor. Recently another one of your members, “67-72trucks” posted a thread to try and drum up interest in our headers.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=410104

He contacted me about “group pricing”. I explained what my requirements were but I failed to explain my relationship with Steve. Many of you have been wondering what happened, why Steve isn’t posting the sale, etc. The “GP” thread was posted specifically so I could see how much interest there actually is. Since Steve is one of my vendors, and he is also the owner of the shop next door, he will be handling the actual sale on this forum.

At this time I do not own a truck and am not capable of answering specific fitment and application questions. This is exactly the reason I am letting Steve do the marketing on this forum. I will continue to remain a member of this forum and will be here to support Steve and answer specific questions about our products; material, design, primary sizes, collector sizes, construction, finish work, etc.

I would like to thank “67-72trucks” for being so enthusiastic and for posting information and answers to many question about our products. I will work on the sale prices and we will the information for all of you tomorrow. Steve will post a new thread entitled “Header Group Purchase”.

I apologize for any misunderstanding. If anyone has any questions about our headers, exhaust systems, mandrel bending, etc, please feel free to ask.
Thanks all.

Warmest Regards,
Dan Ferraro
