Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

Well, come to find out that the pressure line for the big blocks is not reproduced and parts stores just give out the small block version. I'll keep it in case I need it for Choncho. I might be getting some lines from PICKMUP. He sells stainless ones and you get the return hard portion too. We'll see.

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

I did get to purchase the lines from PICKMUP. I forgot I also rebuilt the rag joint and installed the ps box. Sorry for the bad pic. When it warms up I need to clean this all up. It had leaked for years.

That stinks they don't stock the hose. I bet NAPA or somewhere could make you one.

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

I ordered the hose that goes from the ps reservoir to the pump. So after all this, all the ps hoses will be new. Its Car Quest 34999.

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

I ordered an aluminum transmission pan. Mine still has the original steel one without the drain plug. Should be here in a few days.

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

I got the power steering lines on and the reservoir hose too. I used 1/2 of what I bought. Power steering feels good. And no leaks. Tranny pans next.

Rus put my new steering wheel on and it looks so much better. Thanks buddy!

I'll get a pic later.

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

I'm sure this is an unnecessary comment, but that return line looks too close to the exhaust manifold. I see you have it zip-tied though, so it's probably just the camera angle. Love your trucks!

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

Oh not unnecessary at all. I zipped it because it was too close. I'll double check it. Thanks.

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

I checked the return line and alls well. Its just the angle of the photo.

I did get my transmission pan in today and its nice but I was given one wrong size bolt. I think i have one for it though. Time to get messy and drain it. No plug

Transmissions all drained. It was a messy event. Taking a nap to re-energize. Work is killing me.

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

Rus came up to help me with my other truck and he put my tranny pan on Tonto for me and put the fluid in it. Thanks Rus. You can tell that the tranny has leaked quite a bit in this pic. I hope the pan was mostly it. I will put new o-rings on the dip stick and mod. valve after it warms up and I can clean it off good. I may need more seals but I'll know more after that.

I got this pan off of ebay for 40.00.

and it has a plug

Re: Chucks 72 Cheyenne Custom Camper

Who did you order that pan from? I like the clean look to it. My 72 BB is leaking trans fluid and I was going to put a new gasket on it, I might as well put a pan with a drain plug on. I see that one came from eBay, I thought they might have multiples.
