Re: My Build: Home Depot Machine

Thanks Creep. I am itching something terrible to drive it, but I promised the fiance no truck work until after the honeymoon. As soon as I get back it's go time! Install the accuair, windshield, the spintech mufflers and start laying frame all over town. I am picking up some baby moon chevy caps soon too, but lets keep that on the DL.

Re: My Build: Home Depot Machine

Last little update until I return from the honeymoon.
Peep mirrors installed. I never liked the high mount at head level look. I like the low mount OEM ish look.

Re: My Build: Home Depot Machine

Yeah I never saw them on our trucks. I saw a few lead sleds with them I I like the look, it blends in a bit more than having them at the top of the door. I was never a fan of that look

Re: My Build: Home Depot Machine

Wedding and honeymoon are over! It was amazing but damn weddings are stressful, it took 3 days into the honeymoon to unwind. Since all that $$ and time are now finished, its back to the truck.

That's the WIFEY!

Now the updates on the Mistress

Portawalls mounted properly

Windshield and peep mirrors

Better pics of the interior now that I dont have 6mil poly as a windshield!

235/75/15. They where free w the rims. The windsheild was a local mobile installer. Quotes where $225-530. He was 2nd cheapest, cheapest I couldn't understand his country/drunken dialogue!

Re: My Build: Home Depot Machine

Thanks guys for the compliments.

What do you guys think about a distressed brown leather for the bench seat. Double stitched thick black thread just like oem on the stitching. I will be flat black for a few years then I will be original sea foam green with white top. Do you think the brown leather will go with the sea foam green in the future? I will at that time remove the burlap and wrap the door cards with the same distressed brown leather.

This color

Re: My Build: Home Depot Machine

A few small updates. I mocked up my shift boot and will sew it up later with twine. I test fit the custom cab horn and trim ring. I'm not sure if I should have it rechromed or leave it pitted. Awaiting the driveshaft to be made and I should have this thing driving by early next week.

Re: My Build: Home Depot Machine

I like the look of the mirrors being low, but can you see out the vent window from the drivers seat. I couldn't see out on mine.

Re: My Build: Home Depot Machine

Thanks McMurphy. I love being married but the process is $$$ and time consuming.

Dbomb53. I can see just fine, I am 6'1" so maybe thats it. But I am going to do a BBW conversion so I wont have any blind spot concerns then!

Re: My Build: Home Depot Machine

Maybe you hang out the door more than I do..I'm 6-2, my vents in the way. I like the look though, who needs to look back anyways, as long as it looks cool.
