Re: "One really slow build" thread

The tach looks good there !!! I couldn't make myself drill a hole in my perfect dash pad!!! I think you should flat your hole truck and put flames on it the color of those dog dishes !! That thing would look killer !!!!!!! Keep up the good work . Be carefull with those dark taillights I tried it and almost got rear ended twice !! Later, Bob

Re: "One really slow build" thread

I don't think Ima run the tails that dark with out putting L.E.D.'s behind em

I don't have a dash pad on my truck, so I just used one of the holes that the dash pad screws to, but if I decide to leave it there I'll have to attach it more securely

I really don't like flat black, I'm more of a satin black kinda guy
But that would look pretty sweet

Nice look with the steel wheels. The 80's model behind your truck looks pretty slick too.

Re: "One really slow build" thread

You could buy a set of clear tail lights and dye them. Careful though, some "black" dyes can turn out brownish when they don't reach their full saturation. You might want to try a dark grey. You can pick up clothes dye at almost any drug store and cook em up in a big pot. Just don't boil them :P

The brake lights are about as bright as the stock lens, but the running lights are a little dim
I think I may be able to solve this with L.E.D.s

Re: "One really slow build" thread

Well my black truck is going on hold for a while, so that i can get some other things on the road
The reason for this being that, once I have something else to drive I plan to build my 67 the way I really want it

I have a lot of ideas brewing & plan to keep a few of them secret, so if some of the future updates are somewhat vague then you'll know why

But I will tell you that I do plan to cut it down to SWB & put a short fleet on it, lay frame, & build a bad ass engine
The theme is Sinister which means that it will very Sano !!! (extremely smooth / clean) The truck will be low, but not stupid low (thats what my bug is for... lol) very smooth, black, fast, loud, & very very custom but suttle

I know I'm but I'm kinda a all or nothin kinda guy on some things & if it's not gonna be a long horn I might as well cut it down to a shorty

My mind changes a lot, so it's not necessarily a for definite thing (I think I just murdered a sentence )

Besides, I can't afford the whole truck... lol

It will pretty much make the truck as sinister as I can afford to make it
