I have a whooshing noise coming from my brake booster and no power brakes. Did I mess it up?
Muffler was contacting a cross strut and vibrating. (fixed that this afternoon)
Tow haul light comes on by itself and the tranny starts holding gears longer.

Glass is in and worked out well. $225 for a Precision front weatherstrip, glass, and installation. The best part is - if it leaks, it's their problem.

That's a super deal for the glass. If I could get that deal I'd never mess with windshields again. The seals aren't cheap and I sell used windshields for 75. Plus install and a guarantee.....WOW!

maybe an electrical thing on the tow/haul?
Sounds like a bad seal on the booster/bad booster itself???

Sounds like a good deal on the glass.

So you have a few bugs to work out. You knew there would be some things to tweak after the maiden voyage. Keep it up!

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

I'm going backwards here again. Booster was bad so I had to cut off my adapter and re-weld it to the spare booster I got from Eddie. I should be able to get it back together tomorrow. A disk inside was cocked and may have been the problem.

I figured out the 2 wires that are used for the tow/haul feature. I can wire a momentary switch to activate/deactivate so that if I ever need it when towing the 65 Vette to a car show I'll have it.

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

At least it was a relatively fast fix and you have a booster. Windshield looks good (in the tiny part of the pic I can see )

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Drew, are you gonna use that 99-02 gauge cluster, or dig around for a lower profile GM cluster that fits better? ....... when the time comes

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Not cheap, but fits the origianl cluster and will blend the old school look with your modern twist (and drive train)... HERE

Fully lit needles, backlit faces, and three highly visible LCD message centers are a few of the things that you can see which set the VHX Series apart from yesterday’s traditional approach to instrumentation. A few of the features which you don’t normally see are the micro-controlled precision stepper motors, solid state sensors for unparalleled accuracy, and user-customizable display feedback, all supported by an unrivaled limited lifetime warranty which has become the standard for Dakota Digital instrumentation systems . Completely engineered and manufactured at our facility in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, the VHX Series has completely revolutionized the instrumentation industry

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

I knew I would get some responses with that gauge picture. That cluster is just sitting there while I do some shakedown runs, I will have the old one installed in the end, but I don't think I can afford to rebuild it with new gauges. I will probably get the voltmeter and oil pressure working, but that's it for now.

Have you thought of intergrating that cluster in the factory bezel?..

Re: ** YOUNG FRANKENSTEIN ** The truck Chevrolet should have built.

Finally got a bright sunny, dry day!

Definitely too loud with only the factory Denali muffler. I am amazed that just taking off the cats made it so much louder. Anybody got any suggestions for adding a small resonator or something???
