Re: Gas Prices?

Just a bump on this as currently we are $2.96 a gallon. Has dropped a few cents, gone up a few cents. Goes up faster than it goes down, go figure, huh?

Still $2.69 here in spite of that big fire at Exxon/Mobil's largest refinery in the country last week at Baytown, Tx.

Re: Gas Prices?

It has been on a downward trend here lately. For some strange reason though, it seems to have a bigger range than normal? It's anywhere from $2.79 to as much as $2.99 within a few blocks or so, for the same 87 octane.

Re: Gas Prices?

I didn't check the prices but I put 100 bucks in my F450 today. It had a quarter tank and now it's three quarters full. (sigh).
I pulled up to the pump. Bought some supplies (beer) Paid the guy and went to fill up or as close as I could get for $100.

I look at the pump...No diesel. I go back in and ask the guy do you have more than one pump for diesel?

Nope. Just pump #7 he shrugs.

I tell him. Okay move me from pump #1 to #7

Well. There's a problem with pump #7. Two women are parked in front of it. They weren't getting gas. They were just sitting there eating their lunch. They had been sitting there since I got there. At least 10 minutes. Stuffing their faces and blocking the only pump that I can use.

So I did what any rational clear thinking person would do. I yelled a bunch of expletives and pulled my truck up right on their rear bumper and revved the motor. In their small car it must have looked like a scene from Duel. A big angry truck growling behind them. They moved.. and they moved fast. Had they been cute I might have been polite. But they weren't and I was in a bad mood. And I thought it was rude of them to just sit there and block people. So I got a little rude myself.

You got that right. Edison just sent me a nice letter telling me that they are raising my rates...Again.

The water bill is just as bad. I just got a water bill for my house in Wofford Heights. $70. I have no lawn, no sprinklers. Nothing. And I haven't lived there in over 2 months.

My Tarantula is there. Maybe he's throwing hot tub parties behind my back.

Re: Gas Prices?

In WA, at least in North Seattle area, gas prices never dropped. It has been going up as of 10 days ago. We are at 3.99 for Arco for the low grade!
Now, they the inflation to blame, I guess!!

We were in Phoenix in November in our motorhome.

I pulled into a convenience store for diesel. I could get to the first pump, but a little car was sitting at the pump in front of me. A lady was sitting in the car, and I assumed she was getting ready to leave. My Jeep was somewhat blocking the entrance, so I hurried as much as I could. When I got back in the MH the car was still sitting there. I asked my wife what she was doing. The lady in the car was playing on her phone. I circled the pumps and filled the other tank. She was still blocking the pumps when we left the store.

Re: Gas Prices?

Some people should try thinking a bit. Might even find they've become thoughtful, or at least realize there are other people in the world. The fuel everyone needs and uses is gotten at the pump. That is the only place I can get fuel. I can use my phone about anywhere. I never use it at the pump because there are warnings posted that tell us not to, could cause an explosion. I don't know, for some reason that matters to me
