That's funny ~ post # 2735 of the harlequin painted Blazer proves a point I noticed fifty years ago : when you see one of these so called 'art cars' it means it'll be junked in less than two years, every time .

I used to get them in in my shop and asked the customers if they didn't like it why not sell it now and get some $ out of it because the junkyard never gives anything for them no matter how clean the vehicle is underneath that embarrassing paint job .

The same goes for home brew camo paint jobs....

EX Military and those are close to worthless, a sad thing IMO as I had a 1952 Willys M38A1 Jeep in 1968 that was a super fun vehicle and nearly impossible to break in the New England back woods .

I'm one of those who actually like old Military vehicles .

We had an Harley Davidson 45" trike too, from Ayers A.F.B. .

Ex Military close to worthless? Don't think so, depends upon on condition obviously but lot's of unique parts that were not on the civilian ones.

As an aside - the camo paint job had a "standard" pattern.

We had a body side hanging in the paint booth. As the vehicle came down the line the painter would refer to the pattern above him and freehand the same onto the vehicle in front of him.

If you could find some quantity of original paint CUCV's in the same place the paint job should be the same (or at least similar).
