1950 gmc 302 inline six motor

I have a 1950 gmc 302 inline six motor for sale. Its almost complete missing the valves. The short block is complete and I have the intake and carb. The head was taken off to do a valve job and has been ported and checked for cracks. I would like to get $300 for the motor. Thanks Rick

Re: 1950 gmc 302 inline six motor

I know it is a little late, but did you sell your 302? I have a '56 GMC truck with the 270 motor and would love to put a 302 in it. I put over 300,000 miles on one in the sixties and seventies in two different hot rods and hated myself for ever getting rid of it. Hope to hear from you. Jeff

Also a little late,
Did you ever yank the 270 out of your 56 (looking for 270 parts) ?

Re: 1950 gmc 302 inline six motor

I did not take out my 270 yet. I relocated to the foothills and just got my '56 in my new shop. The 270 is really pristine. only a few thousand miles since a total rebuild. Have not found a 302 inline six yet but still looking. If I found a 302, would be up to selling the 270 but as a complete motor. Thanks for the inquiry.

Never did get a reply to my original inquiry about your 302 gmc motor. I am sure you did sell it, but if you know of any more engines of the same size, I am very interested in acquiring one. Hope to hear from you one way or the other.
