Two Christmas's ago I spent 3 weeks holiday, 5 days a week, 8-10 hours a day blocking out the truck. The final two days we took it out into the yard in the pouring rain and blocked and hand sanded 1200 with dish soap until it was glass smooth. We get rain on Vancouver Island at Christmas ... I don't think that will work in Winterpeg! Here are a few before/after and along the way shots. I got more however, my ....ing PC crashed so I'm in the process of trying to retrieve a bunch of pics. Went and bought a MAC, no more of that BS.

Re: 55 2nd serie GMC

Did some work on the rear bumper today. I reshaped the edges of the bumper ends so they wouldn't touch the rear fenders.

Re: 55 2nd serie GMC

Progress is slow but is still happening, did a lot of bloc sanding the last few weekends so today i got a coat of primer on the areas we blocked. I also upgraded the fuel system to a single fuel line fuel rail and a Corvette fuel filter with build-in fuel regulator.

Sanding and more primer means your getting closer to being done.

Re: 55 2nd serie GMC

I just went through this thread all I can say is LOOOoookkk'n good !

About the green, we did a granny smith green on our Scion as an accent. It a little lighter Then the Camero green. Makes people smile.

Here's what I did for my '56 GMC bullets, '57 Car tips. Just punch a hole and roll the edges and bolt on the rubber tips.

By the way I want your grill

Thanks for the interest guys, things have been really slow this past year but its still moving forward. Planning to send the cab to the paint shop in about 3 weeks or so. Not much for new pictures to post, I have been bloc sanding for the past few weeks. I purchased a custom built headliner from a fellow member in BC its coming on the bus with in the next couple of days, I'll post pictures of the install a little later.

Truck is looking good man! Where did you get you're GMC tailgate? I like what you did with the grille, it looks good. Door gaps are looking good too, it's alot of work getting them nice, I'm learning that, but it should pay off!
