3. Beat up some fellow employees. Really, that was a known way to get promoted. I remember attending a workplace violence seminar where one of the presenters mentioned getting promoted by abusing fellow employees. Heads were nodding all over the room, even though the guy said that that isn't how it works. He didn't know anything, obviously.

We got bought out by another company that had a zero-tolerance policy on workplace violence. Everybody in the company had to sit through a 90 minute lecture from a corporate attorney, so that we "knew" now what we should have learned in the sandbox at the age of 3. Man, did heads roll after that! Some people just don't learn. We all had security clearances, and if you got fired, you had to tell the investigators why, when getting a new job that required it. That had to have been an interesting conversation.
I had to go to some politically correct meeting. It was "mandatory'. What a joke. It was probably the dumbest meeting that I ever went to. These two chicks telling us what we could say and what we couldn't. They had a flip chart and someone asked them to go back a page on the flip chart and they said you cannot call it a flip chart because flip is a derogatory term towards Filipino's. Huh? I never heard that one and I know all the dirty words. I use them often.

My buddy was a smart azz and said he had a Nomex shirt. What was he supposed to call it? They didn't have an answer.

Yeah, context is important. If one looks to find an insult, they usually succeed. Uh-oh, I just made a sexually suggestive comment. I'm betting you get it.

It's not Abe and Mary; it's Ulysses and Julia Grant.

Everyone knows Neil Armstrong was the first man on the moon. Who was the last?

Re: Jeopardy

That's like "who came in second in the World Series?". Pick a year and team, because I don't watch sports, so I wouldn't know.

Re: Jeopardy

It was Gene Cernan. He probably would never have believed that we wouldn't have the technology to get back there 50 years later.

Yes. I cheated and googled it. That's why I didn't post anything. I didn't know. But it was Gene Cernan. I had never heard of him. Now I know

Can anyone guess who this friendly looking guy is? Ignore the fact that he is handcuffed to a jail cell. From all accounts I've read he really was a friendly guy.
