Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc

I picked up a set of 74200 Moroso springs used real cheap. 4.8 dia I hope they will fit... It looks like the will. I’m running a pair of stock spring that have been cut to lower the truck. Compressed they are 7.75 tall and if I remember right they are around 12" tall uncompressed. My truck will not transfer for anything. if it doesn’t dead hook and you have to lift it becomes a pedal fest...This thread has been a ton of help. It all makes sense now. Thanks guys

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc

solid moroso engine mounts and custom built headers. I hear that some of the members are running a bbc chevelle header. I was running a poly engine mount and super comp hooker headers but after installing the solid engine mounts the headers hung to low draging all the time so I built a custom set of fenderwell headers.

Front to rear when taking off and rear to front when stopping. A friend of mine was following me and said when I took a turn it looked like the front tire almost come off the ground. It has alot of movement in the suspension.

Re: need help with my suspension 1970 gmc

So, is it tranfering weight then to the rear under acceleration and then tranfering it to the front under braking? Not sure I follow.

Is it moving weight to the outer front in a corner and lifting the inner rear?
