engine gas line 73gmc
Hi all, the truck has been sitting for about 1 1/2 yrs. I added to the gas tank a stabilizer addative and fuel restorer. When i crank the engine it seems the fuel line is clogged not getting any gas to the carb. If i add gas to carb the engine runs a little. please advise Frank 73oldie

You could always pull the fuel line from the pump and blow air down the line. If you hear the gas bubbling in the tank, then the line should be clear. If any of your lines are dry rotted or torn, the lines could be allowing air to enter the line and causing the pump to lose its prime.
I recently installed a new tank, and it took a more than few attempts to get the fuel back up the line to the carb. I finally used a trick; I poured a little gas directly in the carb vent tube, and after a couple of starts the gas was flowing again. good luck

can always rule some things out by using a temp line to a can of gas

Yea I would try blowing air back into the tank and see if you can hear it bubble. Be careful that its not to much so you don't blow your sock off your sending unit though. The carb vent trick to fill the float bowls up should also help you out to get it started!

Hi Hoods, forced air in the fuel line and the tank had bubbles, the line is fine. Am getting gas to the carb. I also tried a can of gas method and the pump worked fine. Thanks for the help Frank
