fuel line question
What size is a coper fuel from gas tank to carb? Im using a blaser gas tank and its feeding a thersty 350 V8. Thanks in advance.

actually i believe 6cyl trucks had 5/16 and V8equipped trucks came with 3/8

2bbl small blocks got 5/16, all inlines. 5/16, all V-6 3/8, all 4 bbl small blocks 3/8, and all big blocks got 3/8.
I'm sure there are some odd ball trucks out there, but this is pretty much the rule. |

use something other than the stock line to feed a healthy motor even if it is 3/8 the stock sending unit brings the line at a 90 degree elbow and the line cant flow. im running the stock 3/8 line from the tank in the cab and it starves for fuel above 5500 with the victor jr on there. gotta go to a fuel cell and run -8 to the elec pump

3/8 line is plenty for a street bound sb(stock or hopped).i run a cell in the longhorn, with 8 an fittings reduced to 6 an, & run 3/8 steel line to the front(stock pump). my 1st run of the season was after work today.......6800 rpms for the 1st 4 gears didnt starve that 383 for fuel. crazyL

Do not use copper tubing, a lot of the new fuels and additives will not like the copper. The steel line is a lot more durable and not nearly as soft.

I am running 3/8 aluminum, much easier to bend than steel. I am running an electric inline pump and inline fuel filter. At those locations I use steel braided Russell size 6 fuel line that I get at the local speed shop.
