Getting ready for Paint

I’m in the process of disassembling my 72 for paint and just removed my vent windows and door glass and I was wondering what everyone is doing on the screws for vent window and door channels are you painting them also or cleaning them and leaving them the natural look?

Re: Getting ready for Paint

I typically get new bolts at NAPA or Fastenal. Both have a good selection of black oxide bolts.

Re: Getting ready for Paint

More than you were asking ... Totally Stainless offers complete kits for your entire truck to replace it all with stainless. Or they offer smaller packages of particular areas of your truck. Ive used two of their complete sets, very nice way to do it.

If you go to their website and download the catalog it starts on page 51 for our trucks.
