Re: bench seat for a 55

Dad and I took seats out of mid 80's to early 90's full size dodge trucks, and cut 4" out of the center. They look original and the junk yards are full of them.

Re: bench seat for a 55

Chevrolet truck seats from early 90's trucks seem to fit the second series cabs well. I currently have an early 90's chevy truck seat in my 57.

Re: bench seat for a 55

What dad and i wanted in our trucks was a stock-looking seat that didnt stick above the back glass, and didnt stick into the steps on the side.

grandpa put a set of durango bucket seats in his '57, and i'm not to fond of them...

Anyways, cutting a set down is only about a 30 minute job, and we have 300 dollars apiece in them to get them recovered

Re: bench seat for a 55

The Dodge Dakota bench is the right width too and readily available at Pick-N-Pull.
