Re: 72 GMC Won't start

Do you see a spray of gas from the accelerator pump when you open the throttle with the breather off?
Does your HEI have 12 volts at the terminal at the distributor cap?

How did you determine it is getting spark?

What is the condition of the spark plugs/
Are they gas soaked?

Are saying all things look correct (spark, fuel, etc) but the engine only cranks for a second or two then stops cranking completely? If that is the case I’d get a jump box or new/different batt and see if the problem persists. And Merry Christmas to you too!
