Post HEI hook-up

I just got an HEI distributor for my 71 K5. This may sound dumb but, do you hook the power wire straight up to the battery? Thanks for the help in advance guys.

You need to run a good sized wire (12 or 10 ga), to the IGN Unfused terminal on your fusebox.

Thanks. I hope it was some use. A lot easier than trying to 'splain it all.

I just replaced my 18 guage wire today with 10 guage, man what a differance! I just thought my truck was hard to start before. Guess it was just that little 2 foot piece of wire.
