front...spindles, shocks and coils
rear..shocks, flip kit, and shackles.

truck seems to be higher on one side than other.

why would this be?

not sure if pics are on level ground. but messured at work and its higher on one side.

again, not sure if work ground is level but looks off..,

Re: 5/7 ki6 installed..why is one side lower than other?

Not sure if its the same kinda thing, but I started my "career" with trucks with an S10, and they were notorious for having this problem when static dropped....

Re: 5/7 ki6 installed..why is one side lower than other?

how are u pulling a measurement? i have always done it from center of wheel up to bottom of fender. that way u will get a better measurement of if u are laying same all the way around. cause measureing from ground up isnt always correct. try to get it on as lvl a ground as u can then measure from center of wheel to botttom of fender. to if u guage from how it looks in pic from rear it does look like the driver side is lower. but if u look on side to side pic then it looks lvl cause look at how the fenders sit on each tire front and rear.

Re: 5/7 ki6 installed..why is one side lower than other?

I had the same problem with my '87 swb. I even swapped front springs side-to-side and it didn't make any difference. It was so bad you could see it across a parking lot. I didn't explore the rear leafs but my next theory was that the driver side was worn down from having the gas tank and driver.

I think your rear springs are shot. My truck is the same way. I have a pair of what looks to be good ones next to a known mush pair.

The big spring stack weighs a ton. I thought I could use maybe some of the leafs but they are the wrong lenght and arch. When you can feel the difference just by putting my foot on it just add a truck.

There's your lean

Re: 5/7 kit installed..why is one side lower than other?

Well I did the rear spring rebuild and have new stock springs in front. Still have a lean in front again.

So I'm back to suspecting a problem with the front spring pockets again. I had noted that the left front spring wear marks sugested that it was net seating fully up top. I'll get back in a couple of weeks when I have time to get back into it.

Re: 5/7 kit installed..why is one side lower than other?

HELP: Just finished a frame off on my 68 C10. Bought a 3/4 lowereing kit and truck was level at all four wheels while cab and bed still off. Drive it once and now driver's side sits 1 inch lower front and rear. Checked springs, seem OK and still in place Any ideas or comments appreciated.
