Thanks Diesel Ya it was an interesting diesel truck.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Well finally got some fuel calculations.
Pulling my 18' trailer I got 15mpg
Just the truck driving around this past weekend 18mpg
So we calculated without the trailer we should get about 500 mi to a tank. Ya my bladder can't last that long.

That's not bad mileage towing your camper. Just don't resort to the bottle bathroom like truckers here do.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

That looks like it would work pretty good on the driveway too!

Where did you get the chrome mirror arm for the driver's side that angles up (47-50) and not down (51-55)?

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Last night I went to see a really nice guy Nick. I met him at the Jalopy Jam up car show. He has well.... one of everything (nice stuff too) While we chatted at the show he said if I could use it, he has an almost new dually axle with disk breaks. I am not sure when this will happen but I will swap the disks over to my axle. Thanks Nick
My truck on the back of his tow truck would make for an interesting picture. (not broken of coarse)
If anyone has or knows where to get the one piece window trim for a good price pm me.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

It was a beautiful day on Sunday so I took my GF for a drive to a Ontario land mark not to far away. She has never been there and thought it was really cool. There is only a 3 ton weight limit but my truck is 2.5t.

So today I got my new valley pan ready by welding in the vent fitting and giving it a coat of my engine paint. Tomorrow morning I start.
I am also in need of some new rear tires, for some reason these ones didn't last to long. Joe and I finished them off properly today. Video to come soon.

Re: My 52 GMC Build

Nice rubber removal! Did you need to change your oil return for the turbo, or are you just trying to spruce up the valley of the engine?

Ya man. I changed where the blow-by goes a while back that is what the fitting is for. The turbo oil return goes into where the mechanical fuel pump was. The old pan was bleeding oil through some rust holes.
