Strange air bag issue

Anyone ever have an air bag that keeps filling with air slowly after you quit pushing the button to fill the bag? I'm guessing the fill valve is sticking. My valves are big red from ride tech. Anyone had a similar issue? I figured that I would try here before calling ride tech.

Thanks
Marc

Re: Strange air bag issue

I had the opposite with the same valves. You would air down and it would stick open. If you hit the switch a few times it would close. Sold the truck before I ever fixed it.

Re: Strange air bag issue

Try rocking the switch back and forth a few times,If theres dirt or something in the valve that should knock it loose.

Yes, that seemed to fix it. I also looked on the ride tech web site after my post and they described this very symptom and explained how to take the valve apart to clean it. Seems good for now.

Thanks
Marc

Re: Strange air bag issue

Most of the time popping the valve back and forth will fix a slow leak,If that don't work then you gotta take them apart to see what's the problem. If you ever do need to take them apart http://www.ridetech.com/info/solenoid-valve-service/
