amp question

I looking to add a amp to my truck but I don't know how many watts or if I should get a multi channel or mono, I already have a Kenwood Cd Receiver that puts out out 4 x 45 watts peak and the subs I have are two 10 inch jbl with a 400 watt peak in a ply wood truck boxes, and would also like to add two 6x9s and a two speakers for the dash, also what amp and speaker wire should I use, If this helps I only listen to country music and I want the best sound and base for the buck

Re: amp question

I would use a 4 channel amp with two channels on all 4 of the highs and the other two channels mono or stereo on the tens depending on the ohm load of the subs. I can help if you want. I have been in the business since 86! ALL RADIO POWER SOUNDS BAD! There is not enough room in the chassis of the radio to put a decent amp!

Re: amp question

DOnt kid yourselfe with the peak power rating, go with the RMS rating.

Ide use amp foa all speakers, twice i had trouble with the stereos due to overheating speaker outs.

Re: amp question

actually all power ratings are bogus so I look at the size of the fuse to determine the power potential.

Re: amp question

What are the specs on that amp? The Walmart link does not say how many RMS watts/ch, RMS watts bridged, or the lowest stable impedance bridged.
