Between the two of you guys there are many great ideas available here for us all.... and thank you!!!

BC your dash looks like a 67-72 setup???? or what else? I like alot of gauges and would rather do mine differently too. I have a complete original 57 dash that I dont want to cut up.... but....

Also the second set of fenders used as tubs is a great idea for these fat Mickeys!!!!! I have the 33 x 21.50 !!!!!

Donnie just sent me this pic of the truck on the ground. He said it has to be low and it looks like it will be. I asked him to send me a shot of the rear installation. It's looking really good I will admit so its no need in your guys keeping things from me, I will eventually find out whats going on.lol

His cab has the GMC dash in it. They were different the the Chevy.

It's a single stage orange from Dupont ( Dupont Chroma Premier) It's 2006 Audi Papay Orange.

How much did you notch the frame?

Regarding Donnies '57 Chevy long bed now short bed truck with front and rear Jag suspension. Donnie notched the frame a total of 3 inches. The first two photos are before and after shots when he first installed the clip but decided it wasn't low enough so he took it back out and took 1 more inch out of the frame. It's not completely welded in yet coz he is still working on the rear suspension.

(Edit, I see that it's on static rideheight with the threadbar through the spring....so not lower than this...?)

This is a typical GMC dash/ instrument cluster/panel from '55-'59, but yeah it is somewhat reminiscent of the '67-'72 dash

On another note for you builders notching the frames for any types of additions into it I would offer this engineering tip.

Cut the notch so that the corners of the receiving member are curved instead of square, even if it just a 1/8" to 1/4" radius, thats all you need. This will allow less of a strain at that joint and less likely of cracking or splitting out there. An "arch" is much stronger than an "angle" in any application.

When you buy angle steel or alum, make sure it is 'structural', look at the inside angle and it should be curved, not a sharp 90*

I could not resist posting this '72 Chevy crewcab conversion on here. I was down in Memphis Tn. with the wife visting friends and family and went to this BBQ joint and spotted this BAD RYDE outside while chowing down on some smoked Brisket. I could not find it here on the '67-72 section but still found it on the net here is a link to the build.

Thanks for droppin' in to take a peek. I am working on my bed floor right now and I have gotten some ideas from watching what you have been doing with the floor of your Suburban. Can't say right now what I have exactly been up to but will post pics if it comes out right . If not back to the drawing board

What will be different from most Jag installations is that Donnie is going to preform surgery on the rear of the frame and graft in the Jag cage assembly. The red arrows indicate temporary set up.

Back to my never ending project. Newton's Third Law of Motion states, “For every action, there is an equal and opposite reaction.” So when I lowered the rear of my truck it made it level with the front of my truck but now the bed of the truck was going to be another issue. I didn't want to raise the bed too much coz I want my new wheel tubs to be seen. So I surfed the net to check out pro street trucks and bagged trucks to get ideas for a hump that would give me enough clearance for the rear end housing travel with out smacking the bed floor. Here are a few examples that got my attention. My bed floor in the photos of my truck is not the finished product and for mock up only and the differential hump will be the same color as the truck. Keep in mind it's still all mock up, but might change it out completely if it doesn't come out the way I envisioned it. Trying to keep it simple but be a little different. LOL, my idea might make you say ... WHAT THE..... is he doing?
Let me finish and hopefully it will make more sense
