Vortec with POL Mounts - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

Hello all,

Ran into an issue mounting my vortec engine with POL engine and tranny mounts. While the engine mounted up fine, the gap between the transmission and the mount is to much to get the bolts in place.

Anybody ran into this issue and know of a solution? Much thanks

Flip the cross member?

Tried that. Then the mount is to high!

I used the CPP trans mount with POL Engine mounts( Perches).

I would start by contacting POL.

Have you measured the angle on the engine at all? I'm just wondering the gap in relation to the angle of the motor (flat, leaned forward or leaned back in *'s)
