Re: 64 C-10 Newbie

WoW, been a long time since I have posted anything on here about #Junk my 64 C10. It's still in my possession. In 2018 I did a T-5 swap. this was the best mod I have done to the truck.

Re: 64 C-10 Newbie

I have put over 11k miles on this truck since the T-5 swap. The last trip was Truckin the Trace where my wife and I put close to 900 miles on it driving from Louisville Ky to Tupelo Mississippi and back.

Re: 64 C-10 Newbie

Thanks for the update. Glad to see you kept the I6. When I got my truck it was complete minus motor and trans. Picked up a 292 with a granny 4 speed for $285 on CL. Shortly after I picked up a 327 for it. Well, it's been 7 years now and the 292 is still in it. Just can't bring myself to swap it out.
BTW what was involved with swapping to the T5? I swapped the rear to 308's and it's pretty good but another gear wouldn't hurt. Cheers.

Building a small, high rpm engine with the perfect bore, stroke and rod ratio is very impressive.
It's like a highly skilled Morrocan sword fighter with a Damascus Steel Scimitar.....

Cubic inches is like Indiana Jones with a cheap pistol.

I installed the Jeep input shaft and followed this recipe.

Re: 64 C-10 Newbie

Here we are in Tupelo at Truckin the Trace. We was only about an hour away from Calhoun City where it was sold new at Allen Ray Chevrolet. I would have driven there if the dealership was still in existence.
