Odd Transmission Mount

Does anybody know what mount this is? It has no part number.

It does not look like a normal TH350 mount. The holes on this mount are 1" offset front to rear. The normal TH350 mount is inline. Also, all 4 holes on this mount are 3-3/4" wide center to center. The normal TH350 mount has two through holes that are 3-3/4" wide and two threaded holes that are closer together.

It came off my dad's '75 C15. It had a 350/TH350 from the factory. At one point he installed a BB 396/Saginaw 4-speed and it's back to being a 350/TH350. (The dimensions of the Saginaw and TH350 are the same.) He thinks it is the original trans. mount.

The crossmember does not appear to be modified. So, I'm confused.

Re: Odd Transmission Mount

I remember a couple of years back that i had a strange trans mount and had difficulty getting one at the parts store, but in my advanced age I cannot remember what it was for, but it was definately a squarebody I was working on
