No problems, runs great, drives great. It's an odd feeling when I look over at compact cars and see that I sit lower than them.

Update: Tuesday I installed a new amp and sub. Had to pull the rear interior to do so because I have an amp rack under rear seat. Thursday: I did a clay bar and wax, looks really good for 27yo paint. Friday: I went to the shop to replace timming cover gasket. Got that done. I was pulling out of shop to go cruising, the motor burpped, and started ticking. Never left the shop. WHY does this truck hate me lol. I was too tired and dirty to look into it. Sounds like a rocker slipped, or a lifter gave out. I'll look at it next week when I have time.

Not really, I can hear it under passenger vc. Seems like I have to do everything twice on this truck. When I did the amp I had pinched the airpod control wire under the seat stand, so I had to pull the interior twice that day. The timming cover twice, this time I pulled the two front oil pan bolts, and wrangled the seal in. No more leaks. I'm getting pretty quick at front motor tear downs. It isn't that easy on ac trucks, but I have it down now lol.

No worries, I'll be back at it today or tomorrow.
After I get it running I'll try to get the gas gauge issue fixed, I'm thinking a bad float. This will be the third time dropping the tank. It's easy though.

Well, I tore it apart and it had a rocker that slid off. I pulled the pushrod and it was bent. So I got a new pushrod, put it back together and it ran like a champ again. Took her out for a spin to Lowes, ran great...Made another quick stop, came out to fire it up and it did it again, rocker slid off. It seems to happen at low rpm's, like at start-up, or low idle...I do believe I have some lifters not doing the job correctly, so, tomorrow, I'll pull the intake and do some lifters and all new pushrods, and maybe new rockers although they seem ok...I'm thinking about changing the name of the thread to "Mechanically Challenged" lol...

Man, can't win for losing, huh? At least you've been able to fix it thus far.

I'll agree with the "can't win for losing". But as far as being able to fix it thus far, it's still broke till it's not broke for more than a few miles at a time

Thanks Hot trux, they(heads)are new GM replacements so maybe I need to look into this more. But I had a bent pushrod. Maybe it bent after it slid off. I was thinking it slid off because it bent.

I forgot to mention that, I'm pretty sure I have lifter issues because I still have a couple rockers kinda loose, and the adjuster nuts are almost all the way down. Collapsed lifers on a few, and a couple more not collapsing enough...I have all new sealed power stuff going in today...

I think I wiped my new cam...ARRRRG!!!
I'm going to measure the stud height on the old and new heads to make sure it's not the studs come loose. But yea, pretty sure it's the new cam gone south...I said I have to do everything twice, right???
