Re: upper control arm studs / bolts

LMC has them i do not blieve they press in but are grade 8 bolts. You could prolly get them at any regular hardware store if you had the right size

Re: upper control arm studs / bolts

The ones LMC sent me are not correct, I called them and that is all they have.
No part stores have them. Year One , Paddock etc. does not have them.
I've been on the phone for 4 hours and no one has this part.
One place said they have them but they also said it fits from 62-91 but I know 91 was not the same , so I called a GM dealer and they said no they are not the same only 73 - 87 was the same part.

Yes they do press in. the stud has splines , were it goes through the crossmember

Try a chevy or gmc dealer. They can at least give you a description or GM part number. If they don't have it in stock, tell them to search their network.

Re: upper control arm studs / bolts

Are you referring to the bolts where the alignment shims mate to as well? If so, I am curious as well. Will eventually be replacing all the bushings and hardware over to new stuff. I remember when I brought it in for an alignment years ago, one of those studs snapped because they were so rusty. The alignment tech was able to use a grade 8 bolt. Actually did a fine job and I appreciated his efforts for a franchise store. Still holding up to this day.

Re: upper control arm studs / bolts

I rebuilt my front end last summer and I replaced every thing but control arms and I got everything through NAPA
