Ebay Gen 5 LS Wiring Harnesses?

Ran into a LS guy in Houston while picking up a 9.76" rear axle. He does "budget" LS swaps. He said he buys all his harnesses off Ebay and has never had a problem. Unfortunately he couldn't identity which Seller he was using.

So wanted to ask you guys who have actually purchased a few if you can share your recommended Seller or Sellers?

I also read that PSI harnesses are simply generic $200 Ebay harnesses with a jacked up price point. They do sell direct on Ebay too but $700+ typically.

Thanks for the recommendations.

I am going to do a L87 6.2L swap with hopefully the 8L90 but am considering the 10L80 but leaning towards 2014-2017 years w 8L90L. Gotta a 1980 C10 and also a 1971 C10.

Re: Ebay Gen 5 LS Wiring Harnesses?

My .02 is buy a LS harness/ECM from a vendor that has a proven track record of suppling a great harness and tech support. I've done dozen LS swaps for me and friends. I use Speartech and Howell. Tech support is only a call away in the states. Don't know about PSI.
In regards to the 8 speed they get zero love over on LS1tech.com.
I had a 2015 Silverado with the 6.2/8 speed combo. Always shifted hard when cold 1/2 and 2/3 shift. Even after back to the dealer for reprogramming. Also hard down shifts as I slowed down for a stop light. Never left me anywhere but I traded it before the warranty ran out.
Currently I drive a 2020 Silverado 6.2/10 speed. The 10 speed is sweet. The truck has settings for standard, sport and towing. Works well.

I've got a BP harness and have not installed it yet but their customer service seems good from the conversations I've had with them. If I was going to go with a cheaper harness I'd probably go with one from speedway.

Re: Ebay Gen 5 LS Wiring Harnesses?

your sorta right about PSi harnesses..but its the other way around..
china (maybe) ripped off PSI design and sell the copys on ebay.. even stole the instruction books
i can attest that PSI is good quality.. also heard alotta good about BP as well

PSI even commented on this thread about those

Re: Ebay Gen 5 LS Wiring Harnesses?

If you go PSI I would with the braided wire covering instead of the ribbed plastic wire covering. I think it looks much better.
