Re: Gas Prices?

I wonder how much a quick charge will cost ya for your 'lectrik vehicles. Comparable cost to filling up a standard size gas tank?

Back in the day, the difference was only 10 cents or so per gallon, then it jumped up to maybe 20-25, but now it has gone crazy?
Does anyone know why?
Because they can is what I figure. Oil companies do what they want, obviously.

Our gas sure did take a jump since last fill-up a week ago. I'm traveling in a different direction from my favorite cheapest place. Last week I went out of my way to fill up there. The $.24 a gallon difference makes it worth it. Yesterday I didn't have time to run out there and had to bite the bullet on paying more. Every single gas station along the way was at $3.49.9. All the exact same price. So I went past my short cut to make a square corner down to the next town with several stations. Same exact price till I got to the far end. These places down there have car washes with much lower prices posted... if you get a car wash. I pulled into the one and was about to save a nickel a gallon, $3.44.9 when I noticed the one a couple doors down was $3.33.9 (w/o car wash). I never used to be so cheap about gas prices, but I'm not so well off and these differences aren't just pennies anymore. I only saved $.16 a gallon but even that meant about two more gallons for the same money. That equals one way free in my travels yesterday

Same here. Thank god I don't commute anymore. I used to have to fill up twice a week.

$5.29 for premium now.

I was going to fill my truck but there was a line. So I bought some beer instead. It was cheaper.

None of my stuff gets good mileage either. Not even the Jeep and it's relatively new. I expected better.

The only car I have that gets good mileage is my Packard. It doesn't run, so it's really easy on gas.

If that’s the standard we are using for good fuel mileage I’ve got a whole fleet of “green” vehicles

I get 7 MPG towing the travel trailer, 10 MPG just driving around town without the trailer. It stings when I fill the main and top off the saddle tanks! Luckily, we haven't taken it camping in the last two years.

Sadly this one is gone also. Now a professional building. Was fun working there. Every Saturday I showed up an hour before my shift to put the El Camino in the air and wash the bottom of it off. Had a cool boss!

I hauled hay, helped the janitors after school, was an usher at the theater, skidded logs, built electrical enclosures, but never worked at a service station.
