'63 C10 Upper Ball Joint Bolt TOO SHORT

I'm putting 2.5" drop spindles on my sons '63 C10...

The upper frame on new spindles are approx 1/4" thicker than the originals. So, it's impossible to get the castle bolt even close to being able to get the cotter pin in.

Does anyone know of any aftermarket UPPER BALL JOINTS with a longer bolt?

If not, can anyone think of any other ways to solve this problem?

Thanks

Been doing some 'googling'...
Will this work? They're 1/2" inch longer than originals...

Or these, which are 1" longer

My concern with these longer ball joint bolts is that the diameter of the hole will not allow the aftermarket spindle to travel any further up the shaft than they already are on the originals. Does that make sense?

What year group spindles did you order? Can you post pics of the stuff you pulled off and the control arms? There are a couple of different ball joints used over the years.

I ordered the brakes and spindles off ebay. They were supposed to be made for this year truck, a 1963 C10.

I'll take some pix tomorrow.

Its the size of the taper that is important and not the length of the threads. Is this a drum brake truck or did it have a disc swap on it?

It has drums, currently switching over to disc brakes with 2.5" drop spindles.

The main issue is that the thickness of the spindle frame where the top ball joint goes through is 1/4-1/2" THICKER than the original spindle.

Somewhat of a similar issue, I installed a lowering kit from western chassis. The new supplied castle nuts were taller than a factory style. Where the " Crown " section was built on top of the nut, and not into the nut. If that makes sense, maybe something to look at.
