big block exhaust manifolds ???

I'm tired of leaky, noisy headers. And a guy at work has a set for sale cheap, but he is not sure what they are off of. Are there different big block manifolds? I know the small block manifolds dump in different places, what about the big block.

Most of your std big block cars and trucks will work. On the drivers side the exhaust exits almost straight down at the ground. On the passenger side it is 45 degrees towards the back.

The better style of manifold will have a cast iron web that connects each tube to the other. The older style without this is prone to cracking. Mine went on the drivers side between the #3 and 5 cylinders.

If they are cheap and it is big block, buy it even if you don't need it now. You can't loose money. Besides, it is good trading material for something else in the future.
