I sold my GMC longbed to Litemup and finally was able to get it trailered up to him in WA this morning. (Anthony, thank you again for your patience). I then made a trip to the yard in Norcal that I previously posted a thread about - "Struck Gold in Northern CA." I picked up a rolling coil spring frame with SWB and am in the process of starting my next project. Progress pics to follow..

I always like to park my new "find" in front of the house to show all the neighbors. I'm almost certain their reaction is the same as your wife's!

They say a picture speaks a 1000 words. Not so with my wife. She had well over a 1000 words for me the last time I dragged home a project!

I can't beleive you guys find SWB trucks in wrecking yards. I could count on 2 hands the number of SWB trucks I've seen on the road, never mind even hoping of finding one in a yard!

I saved my frame from being chopped up and thrown out. The guy that had it before me took the whole thing apart and was gettin ready to slap the body on a later model 4x4 frame. That woulda been fine except he was gonna use it as a trail truck/rock climber and beat the tar out of it. My biggest issue with it now is getting it all put back together. Glad I found it when I did.

I dropped a bedside off this weekend in Sac to get the body molding holes leaded in. With the backyard taking priority, I may not have too many progress pics for a little while.

So it's been a little while since I've updated this thread, so I took some pictures today. You guys will have to be patient with me, this will be a very slow build. With the wedding, the house, it's currently the third priority right now.

My fiance is learning why it was so important for us to find a place with "RV access for Dad." As you can see, this is where a lot of the build will take place. And because our deck needed some cleaning, I made the argument that we needed a pressure washer. This is all working out nicely. If anyone has a line on whitewalls for my new toy, let me know!

POR 15 should be here by the middle of next week. I'm just prepping the frame right now for that. One bed side is at a fabricator shop in Sac (Blue Collar Customs) getting the molding holes leaded in while the other is getting worked by a body guy. After the bedsides are completed, it's on to the grille and the wheel wells, and tailgate.

I was supposed to pickup a donor truck from -masterbeavis- this weekend, but it looks like we've had too much rain. It will make it impossible to get our trucks up in the hills to get the '68 longbed.

I'll keep you guys posted.

some progress thats good, i like those wheels, i dont remember if you said or not but what kind of wheels are you gona run? those? cause if not i know a place you can get rid of those wheels when youre done with them
