PHAT '67 Shorty

I started posting on the forum but this is right place for this. Here goes-I'm in Alberta, Canada, decided to start a scratch built 1967 GMC short box fleetside. Drove 5 1/2 hrs each way for a real '67 shorty un-finished proj(barely started!). Picked up a 1990 'burban for doner parts; tbi 350, 700R4, grey buckets/console, planned to use entire front crossmember(bus had 120 000 km's-70 000 miles), but close inspection revealed tight tie rods and crappy ball joints while '67 has new frt bits,so, disc swap with drop spindles for the win!! As of now, motor torn down to the block(un-planned!), bus stripped and gone; more to follow.Trying to load pics........

Buy the burb, don't touch it, just drive it. Finish the truck. Drive the truck, then do the burb

Re: PHAT '67 Shorty

The bus is officialy out of my price range for what I would want to do with it, so in true rebound fashion, I bought a disc brake and 2 1/2 drop kit and new stainless b-lines for the '67!!!!

Re: PHAT '67 Shorty

The rims are 8" truck rallys I may modify to take the 'vette centers, the rest will be basic 350tbi motor, 700R4, 3:73 gears, lowered some, new fleet box and drive every time I find the keys! Here's my last 1972.
