Bucket Seats. What year are they from - The 1947 - Present Chevrolet & GMC Truck Message Board Network

I recently picked up these bucket seats and was wondering what year/years are they from. I can tell the were out of a blazer but I'm not sure about the mounting hardware. Any help would be great.

The white dots in the pictures are snow flakes.

I would say they are probably 75, 76 or 77. I would lean towards 77. 78 was first year for tall backs. And I don't think they were quite using plaid in 73-74. Just my thoughts.

I would love to replace my tall back buckets with short backs, but 1) they are hard to find and 2) I'm told they are not as comfortable on long trips. But they look a hell of a lot better in my opnion.

I agree with the years above mentioned and the statements and even if you do find a set of older low backs they want an anrm and a leg for them...just recently I found a pair on Craigslist and the guy wanted 200 bucks lol. The upholstery was ripped, springs were rusted so was the frame. You`ll spend another 400 getting those redone.

Check out classic auto parts in Huntington Beach, Ca. They sell some bada** lowback, with a bit more spring and cushion which makes the longer rides alot more comfortable and the brackets and sliders to bolt down to our floors. The price isnt bad at all. You get to pick your desired color for 800 bucks. With Xmas coming around they sell them for 600 I believe for the pair. The name brand is PAcer if I`m not mistaken.

Either way thats where I got mine after discovering the prices of the blazer lowbacks.

My 77 Blazer had high backs, 77 was the transition year. You can see them sticking up above the door in this pic...sorry, its the only pic I had that showed them.

Do people still show intrest for these? Are they worth selling? I got them as part of a parts package when I bought some 69-70 seats and console. I don't really need them, so if I could trun them into cash that would be great.

Looking @ the mounting brackets, they look like pre-73 to me. I recall the post-73 brackets are angled differently to fit the awkward shape of the newer trucks floorpan (vs the relatively flat 6x-72 floorpans).

Blazer floor pans are different from truck floor pans in that they are relatively flat
