The ports were similar to a W motor. Designed in late 50s a very inefficient design. Its primary down fall was fuel economy, and weight. My BBC with Turbo 400 was lighter than a GMC V6 eng.

For the same size and about the same weight you could have the 478 ci version of that engine. My 1969 C80 (fire truck) came with that setup - excellent engine and easy to maintain.
