Clutch Recommendations For Stock 402
Greetings y'all !
It's been quite a while but I need a little help. Many years ago I had the clutch replaced on my 402 powered '72 C20. I had the shop install a raised diaphragm type clutch but I"ll be damned if I remember what they installed. I need to replace it now and need a quick recommendation. Should I go with the HD 12" version of the diaphragm style or the stock clamp load? It was always fairly easy to push in but then again, I have a strong leg. I will haul trailers and have a slide in camper on it at vacation time. Thanx! Bud |

Re: Clutch Recommendations For Stock 402
I would do a stock diaphragm style clutch. If its an SM465 should be 12”. Put a Luk brand in my 454 K30 a couple years ago and been happy with that. Stay away from puck type discs….that’s why mine had to come out.
