looks to be GM 69 or later . 67 started the locking backs 69 headrests were mandatory but were optional in earlier years . Thinking A body

i may be slightly mistaken, but i do believe that covering was 71-72 only, the area below the headrest didnt appear on the 70.

the frame are A-body, 68-72 for sure, and possibly others

Thanks for all the help. A buddy ended up with these and wasn't sure on their origin. This is obviously a truck forum but I have found over the years there isn't much regarding vehicles in general somebody(s) on here wont have an answer for.
I have relayed the info to him.

Chevelle , They also came in the 71 El Camino SS , Here is a set I built from scratch a few years back .

I am guessing the ones I posted are original but I have not seen them just a couple pictures.

A friend found that 71 El Camino SS big block in an old garage ,The daughter listed "2 chevys for sale " When he got there it was the ElCamino and a V8 Monza coupe that belonged to her parents who had passed. He bought both of them for $6,000.00 in May 2014 . They were a little moldy inside from sitting so he asked me to re upholster both of them . It was a little funny starting the Monza and hearing a small block fire up. I tried to buy them both but he kept them , Those buckets are worth some good money

Cool story, I piddle with body work, engine work and some woodworking on the side. I have always been envious of you all that do the interior work. When I watch the car shows the interior is fascinating. I have a set of Buddy buckets I am thinking to swap back but will have them redone.
