I got a compliment on my truck.

My air conditioner broke for the fourth time in four years. So I called the guys and they came over and were checking out my cars.

The guy says that I have some nice cars but that Chevy truck is the best. It made me smile. The old gal still has it.

Another guy came by and wanted to trade me straight across for a very nice 60K original miles Corvette.

WTF? I paid 1000 bucks for that truck 12 years ago. Have they gone up that much in price?

And my air conditioner is still broken. They couldn't fix it. It has gone to air conditioner heaven. It looks like I'm going to have to get a new one.

Not a big deal. It was only 92 degrees here today. Who needs A/C?

I've heard that sweating your azz off is good for you.

I agree with that guy. I think your truck is the best vehicle in your driveway. It's not about money.

Right now the 67-72s seem to be bringing huge price tags. It doesn't matter if it's parts or a project either. Sorry to hear about your AC. Maybe you can get some tax credits/rebates by going with a higher efficiency unit.

Kinda depends what year the Vette was to know how outlandish the offer was. If was an 85, well... I like them but they're not big dollars. If it was a 62, then maybe we oughta start looking for another truck for you...

I believe it was a 99 C5. It's a good thing the guy talked to me and not my wife or I might have 3 Corvettes. She liked it.
