Lets see some 1960 - 1966 engine bays!
Seen this post on the 1973 - 1987 side of the forum.
http://67-72chevytrucks.com/vboard/s...d.php?t=364147
Thought it would be good if we would have one here.

Did a quick search and didn't find any started.

That is a 4 speed hydra-matic. it is supposed to be sorta rare, others told me so, although I really don't know how rare it is. I think the way it was explained to me was (kinda funny)

Re: Lets see some 1960 - 1966 engine bays

Here’s mine. Nothing fancy, but looked very nice 20 years ago when I first put it together:

Ten years and about 130,000 daily driver miles later:

Ten years after that – not pretty, but a lot cleaner:

Re: Lets see some 1960 - 1966 engine bays

this is mine still looks the same.
I've been thinking...can I swap a newer straight 6 from a 69 pick up in to my 63? would it bolt up to my stock trany and mm?
My pops just picked up a 69 c/10 and he wants to swap it for a 350

Is that 6 banger out of that 69 a 250 or a 292?

I'm not sure i haven't really talk to my pops about it.
What would be the difference between both of them? or better yet what problem would i run into if its either one?

Don't swap it out. 350's are common, a dressed out straight six is unique. Check out this 292:
