1972 BLAZER Upper Trim ???'s

Looking to install both lower and UPPER trim on my K5 Blazer build

1. don't believe that K5's were factory with the upper trim option however I have seen K5's with both lower and upper.

2. Do you these builds that have upper use SHORTBED or LONBED upper trim?

3. Looking to order but want to order the correct trim - heard that Mar-K makes the highest quality?

thanks guys

I think shortbed trim will work. Just need to cut it to fit. There should be a piece that finishes the cut end that comes with it.

I would talk to Mark k and see if they have suggestions. From what I have read their trim is better than nos.

Re: 1972 BLAZER Upper Trim ???'s

I don’t think I’ve ever talked to anyone but I have seen builds with their upper trim over the years. I think it’s a matter of either cutting one of the trim pieces to fit or maybe they offer it ready to go.

HAha - I thought Mark K was a person - its the company hahaha

Other question - does the short bed uppper trim that goes on the bed have an end cap? I know the long bed trim does

Re: 1972 BLAZER Upper Trim ???'s

I am getting ready to do upper and lower trim on a 71 blazer and from my research you use the upper trim for a longhorn as it has a 6 in piece that goes on the rear so you just cut to length then you that piece to finish it off. I just ordered mine from marK but they are about 6 weeks out. So we will see when it gets here.

Re: 1972 BLAZER Upper Trim ???'s

I have supplied trim for about a dozen "Cheyenne" version Blazers. We do the upper short bed kits without the cab corner pieces. The upper bed molding has 3 pieces. It has an end finish extension with spline that you can remove, shorten the long piece, and reinstall to make the correct length K5 upper molding.
