Long bed to short

I am getting ready to cut my 1971 long bed truck down to short. I am using the original bed to keep the patina. Is there a previous thread for cutting a 71 down or can someone share with me the dimensions for the cut out.
Cheers,

Patina means I can't afford to paint it.

Re: Long bed to short

Not sure how you're going to keep the patina when you saw the entire bed into three sections. There's gonna be a lot of cutting and grinding... by no means will it look weathered, it will look cut up.

This has been done a bajillion times, so there's tons of info on it. Stacey David (1970s haired TV mechanic guy) has a video on it and the old Trucks! show cut down a 66-ish over several episodes. There are also videos on Youtube.
