Re: 1984 K10-The Rock

For some reason Chevy always has a narrower track width in the rear! They say it’s so the rear tires don’t go in the same track as the front (for traction).

Well I don’t like it on a street truck! So we added 1.25” billit spacers to each side.

Re: 1984 K10-The Rock

That stock horn was really bothering me, so we opted for an air trumpet horn. We decided to mount it behind the grill so there was nothing between it and the offending driver but space and opportunity!

Re: 1984 K10-The Rock

So we didn’t get to terribly much done today. We did finish cleaning the dvr side bracket and accessories. We struggled getting the AC clutch off the pass side. We will tackle that tomorrow.

Re: 1984 K10-The Rock

lookie what I picked up for $80! Saved me like $530! I’m going to have it powder coated in "super chrome". With LED lights it ought to set the truck off pretty good!

Some 6x9 boxes we made a template for. Brought the template to my friend with a plasma table to precision cut it for me. If this works as well as I expect, they will be for sale on my website.

Re: 1984 K10-The Rock

We got a whole lot done today, but not much picture worthy. Our roll bar had 3 light tabs welded to the front of the bar. I thought they showed be on the back and that there should be 4 of them. So Alex set out to make that happen

The first two are after paint but before installation. The next two are the speaker installed in truck. These are attached using 3M automotive double sided tape. They are for sale on my website and fit 73-87 Chevrolet and GMC trucks.

Re: 1984 K10-The Rock

Finally the new dashboard came in! We spent some time putting the interior back together. The new color matched forever sharp steering wheel and the new hammered black truck instrument bezel installed. Really starting to take shape!
