How do you change headlights in this truck?

These are frenched sealed beam headlights with no front access to the mounting ring. I assume the back can't be accessed because of the headlight bucket required for a sealed beam bulb. How would one change headlights?

Re: How do you change headlights in this truck?

ive seen these installed with the mounting screws in the rear. requires removing the wheel for access but how often do we change headlights? Also have seen the buckets modifed with the adjustment screws in the rear.

Re: How do you change headlights in this truck?

Just as Nvrdone said, Jack truck up and block it up, remove front wheel and get in under the fender and remove the bucket from the inside. I reversed the clips for the bucket screws on mine but would weld 1/4 inch bolts in if I did it again.

You have to put set things up right and adjust (aim) the headlights before you weld on the rings as you can't aim them later without a lot of hassle.

I'm thinking, you remove the fenders and put stock ones on. That's how you "change the headlights" LOL

I could use that., I'm not sure how you would make adjustments except by guess and by golly though. It's an effort to get up under the fender on mine with the tire off, no getting under the truck when it is sitting on the shop floor.
