Is this a factory '50 heater?

Asking for a friend.

Just kidding, it came in the truck when I bought it in 1987 and I always wondered if it was a factory unit - the truck has the passenger-side louvers.

Which now look a little better

Re: Is this a factory '50 heater?

Not factory to a Chevy AD pickup but it might have been factor to something.

Great looking Decco style heater though . The more I look at that one the better I like it.

Top one is the factory low "standard" AD truck heater as far as I know. This is the one with the unreal expensive round heater core.

Second one is a plain no name aftermarket ad far as I know unit that was either installed at a dealer or bought somewhere and installed later. That one is in our 1-1/2 ton flatbed.

Bottom = AD Deluxe fresh air heater. That's a borrowed photo off the net. I have three or four in the shed but can't get in there to take a photo.
