I've heard that if you want lower your truck the cheap and crappy way you can cut down or shorten your coil springs? does this work and any suggestions? Did '69 come with coil spring or leaf? Thanks for the help, I appreciate it alot

The front coils can be cut. every 1/4 of a coil cut will lower approx 1 inch. Don't cut more than 3/4 of a coil! You can't cut the rear ones because they are pigtailed at both ends.

I have cut coils on the front of the longhorn(temporary deal.......been like that for about 8yrs....lol!). I cut 1 full ring of the bottom ,so the spring would seat in the a arm properly. To my best guess, its about a 3" drop. I dont reccomend lowering that way,& do have a set of spindles planned,but am neck deep in repairs on the house at present........69longhorn.
