12 bolt housing ID help
Pulled from a 71 GMC Custom 1/2 ton leaf spring BUT the bump stops are mounted on the housing instead of the frame and it had finned drums (could have been changed).

Re: 12 bolt housing ID help
Anyone?
It's the wider 58" housing. Need more info before ordering parts...even the year would help. No computer access, just this phone right now. Posted via Mobile Device

Re: 12 bolt housing ID help
According to my list it's an open 3.07:1 from a 1971 c10. It could be something else, but that's what I find. Lots of aftermarket stuff for these trucks and drums may be aftermarket or from a different year.

Re: 12 bolt housing ID help
Thanks, that's what it should be but the bumpstops mounted on the housing puzzles me. All the manuals I have show them mounted on the frame.

Re: 12 bolt housing ID help
Coil sprung trucks had the bumpstops on the frame. Leaf sprung trucks (like mine too) have them on the tubes.
